Education
Dr. Sarah Fürstin von Isenburg is an internationally trained and active specialist for plastic and aesthetic surgery. She is a partner of the Neuhann-Lorenz & Isenburg practice for plastic and aesthetic surgery in Munich. Dr. von Isenburg’s specialties include complete wrinkle treatment, skin rejuvenation with and without ultra-modern laser, eyelid lifting, facial and breast surgery, as well as body shaping procedures and scar treatment.
After studying medicine in Heidelberg and Munich, she obtained her full license to practice medicine at the Technical University of Munich in May 2007. Her doctorate followed in 2009 under the title „Chirurgische Entwicklungen im deutschsprachigen Raum vom Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts (1880) bis zum Beginn des 2. Weltkriegs im heutigen Fachgebiet der Plastischen und Ästhetischen Chirurgie“ at the Medical Faculty of the Technical University of Munich. She began her specialist training in 2008 in the Department of Trauma Surgery at the Munich Schwabing Hospital and completed most of her training at the Clinic for Plastic, Reconstructive, Hand and Burn Surgery at the Bogenhausen Hospital under Prof. Milomir Ninkovic. In January 2014 she acquired the declaration as specialist for plastic and aesthetic surgery.
Further training
During her training she participated in numerous international and national congresses and advanced training courses and completed study visits – among others in the USA with Dr. Andrea Pusic, France with Dr. Daniel Marchac and Italy with Dr. Giovanni Botti. She was awarded the EBOPRAS scholarship for science in July 2014.
In addition to numerous lecture activities, she was a member of the board of the IPRAS-TA from 2012 to 2014 and was internationally committed to the education of young plastic surgeons. Through the close cooperation with her mother, she came into contact with plastic and aesthetic surgery at a very early age and has a wealth of experience from a very young age.
Research
Dr. Sarah Fürstin von Isenburg is a pioneer in the field of hypoxia-preconditioned plasma (HYPPP growth factors) for skin and tissue regeneration. Her clinical research interest is especially focused on regeneration possibilities with autologous factors derived from peripheral blood. In 2016, she won the Science4life prize in Berlin as part of the “Emacure project” on wound healing.
Innovations
She holds the patent for the isolation of growth factors from autologous blood, which is the basis of the HYPPP technology for skin regeneration. In collaboration with PD Dr. Hadjipanayi, she is Co-CEO and co-founder of Cultema GmbH, which distributes the myHYPPP® products.
